Dual kitchen faucet adapter could be installed either way to incoming cold water line.
After installing adapter, make sure that bottom quick-connect is for the incoming cold water that is going to be filtered. Quick-connect on top is for the filtered water that will come out to your faucet.
Both cartridges will work with system head, but filters are designed to remove different substances.
